Today I’m going to share with you my 2013 Christmas Buffet!
It’s so exciting to finally be able to share the Christmas Season with you.
I do love decorating our buffet up…
I also love a red and white themed Christmas…and it makes me happy, instead of what’s trendy at the moment.
The mirror has been housed in many different areas in the Charmer…but the perfect spot is above the buffet. I don’t have many Christmas runners, and not up to making one, used a recent thrift store find. The red and white tablecloth has red chickens on the borders…so it’s a fit for me.
Everything on the buffet has been used in different vignettes before. It’s amazing how treasures can take on new life with each vignette.
Once the mirror was hung we placed 9 white plates around and added a few red ornaments were added from The Dollar Tree. The plates have the cutest little bird in the center..can you see them..look at the second plate from bottom on left side.
Then added one of my favorite piece of material…red/white toile. Last year the toile was used as the 2012 Christmas buffet runner.
The left side has vintage plates and cups. A cute tall snowman tucked in by the mirror and a red glass vase sitting on top an overturned soup tureen.
An ironstone pitcher found at GW…oops I lied…there’s one new item in the vignette! My new gold silverware, found last year at a thrift store tucked inside with a vintage candy cane.
The right side has salad/dessert plates, a vintage white/red enamel coffee pot, white tree etc…
The vignette was created with thrift store treasures except for the Walmart cardinal plates, and the heart I made last year. The White tree was used in my 2012 Christmas Mantel, but I added some Holly twigs.
I hope you enjoyed seeing our Christmas buffet as much as I did share…
One last look…
Have you used red and white in your vignettes?
